Vehicle Wraps…what you should understand – Part 1
Since wrap pricing varies greatly I’d like to take a few minutes to explain why its worth paying for quality products and installations. This is a three piece article. This first section will talk about wrap design tips.
The design is where you have the most input into the process, here are some tips to help you get the best wrap design you can:
- Don’t rush the design – the final product should last 3-5 years, invest the time in creating the best wrap possible for your or your company. Design takes time and thought and you may go through many iterations before creating a final product.
- Don’t be afraid to pay for design time – a wrap costs in excess of $2,000 in most cases. Two to five hours of design only add $150 to $400 to the total cost.
- Your design should take into account how you are going to use the car/truck. If people will be viewing the wrap while they (or your vehicle) are moving you should keep your design simple and text big. You have to get your message across fast and give people a way to contact you easily.
- If you vehicle is going to be stationary and people will be walking by consider putting additional details in the wrap to get people to spend time looking at it. You can also spend more design real estate educating people about your products.
- Attract attention, you WANT people to look at your vehicle graphics. Use colors and visuals that turn people’s heads. Then give them a way to get ahold of you!
In our next section we will discuss the product selection and printing of your wrap.
