If you don’t have a retail store what it the first impression a prospect or client gets when they walk in your door? Do you know what they base it on?

If you don’t have a sign posted outside your front door could be the first impression that you make on your customer. Is your logo prominently displayed on your door? Is it in nice shape or is it faded and cracked? Are your dimensional letters mounted properly?

The second visual that your prospect/client bases their impression is your lobby and its signage. Do you have your logo prominently displayed with formed letters, an acrylic logo or some other type of signage? Is it up to date, color correct and clean?

Human nature influences us to make judgments (sometimes subconsciously) based on our senses. For most people the visual sense is the most important when judging people and business. Ensure that your corporate lobby signs give people a positive impression.

Here are some tips regarding your lobby signage
- Make sure your logo (and any vision statements) are current. If you have changed your corporate colors or logo you need to send a consistent message
- Make sure your door vinyl and logo are in good shape and correct. If your hours or phone number have changed update the signage. Subconsciously we see when messages are in-congruent.
- You don’t have lobby signage? Why? Even if you don’t have clients visiting you at your home office you are your brand! Be your brand and visualize it whenever you enter your office.
