The steps to install a monument sign
We recently completed a monument sign for a strip mall and I wanted to share the process we went through. Below is a "before" picture. There is a very old pylon sign. Due to village requirements it could not be reused.

This is the old sign that must be removed.
Now the pylon sign is razed. Our plans did not include removing the footings because the area does not have any other use then to house this sign. We were going to landscape around the footings. The village required us to remove the blocks. Boy were we in for a surprise. take a look at what happens underground!

This is only one of the two footings....
Removal of the footings had a slight effect on our electrical connection to the new monument sign.

The conduit was attached to old blocks, as a result we will have to install new electrical connections to the monument sign.
Now that the electrical connection is fixed it is time to install the new sign. Here is the completed sign after the landscaping is completed.

Ta da! the monument sign is completed, including landscaping. We will get the tenant panels up shortly!
