I know your marketing budget is tight....so lets talk about products (besides signs) that have a big bank for your buck impact.

I'd like to suggest promotional products. You know, the pen, pad of paper, etc that has a logo on it. These are a great way to supplement your marketing campaign. According to the Advertising Specialties Institute (ASI) 82% of people who receive a promotional product remember the name of the company. What other form of advertising does that for you?

As an added advantage, you have 100% control of who receives your promotional product....hand them out as you choose, better yet make sure you hand it directly to them to create a reason to visit them!

And now for the best part, according the ASI 52% of the people who remembered your name will do business with you. Not too shabby a figure there.

Promotional products pay for themselves over time. Here are a few tips to help you:

1) Pick a product that your customers will want to use. I personally hand out pizza cutters.
2) Use the "gifting" of the promotional product as an excuse to have an additional contact with your prospect/customer. Repetition and familiarity help you close sales
3) Choose who will receive your promotional product wisely. Don't randomly mail them to 100 people that may not be possible customers, give them to 100 people who you know are prospects (even if they are happy with their current supplier)
4) See #3, give these to prospects who are happy with their current supplier, should they falter, or not have a product why not have a friendly reminder sitting around to call you!
