Promotional Items are an important addition to your Branding…..do you look at it that way?

Promotional items are usually given away at two different times. The first and most obvious is at a trade show. The second and most overlooked is on sales calls. You don’t necessarily have to give them to the person whom you are speaking with, but consider giving them to their assistance and co workers to help reinforce your brand’s value.

So which item should you pick? Here are some tips:

- The item should be something people are going to use, even if it is at home. The objective is to get your brand in front of people’s eyes as often as possible.

- Unique items can help you stand out. I give away pizza cutters. People like them and they are a topic of conversation.

- The item should COMPLEMENT your company and brand image. If you pride yourself on quality do not give away the cheapest pen possible. Consider getting a high quality pen and be selective to whom you give them to.

Also don’t forget to order your promotional items well in advance of your trade show….I get urgent requests three days before an event….it is possible…but the rush costs are ridiculous. Plan ahead, it will save you money and a big headache.
